Our Philosophy
The benefits of regular sauna use are unarguable, Scandinavian cultures swear by their use, and the happiness and longevity of these populations speak for themselves.
Here at Seacoast Sauna we believe in providing an amazing wood fired sauna experience in an amazing location. We aim to bring together the physical and psychological benefits of sauna bathing, cold water therapy and time in nature.
Beaumaris Beach Sauna
Built in Wales to the highest specification our barrel sauna is beautifully crafted from Thermo Wood with a small integrated storage area to hang your robe and panoramic domed window framing the amazing view. It easily seats 8 guests, however for our shared sauna sessions we limit to a maximum of 6 guests giving more space to relax and unwind. Panoramic Views
We sometimes take our beautiful natural environement for granted; take time to stop, relax and unwind at Beaumaris beach sauna. With a panoramic window our sauna in Anglesey overlooks the Menai Strait a Special Area of Conservation and beyond the Snowdonia mountain range provides a spectacular backdrop. If you're inclined then why not take a dip in the sea or if that's not for you (or if the tide's out) then our ice baths offer a nice cool down.
Wood Fired Sauna
Our wood fired sauna uses a Harvia heater that provides a pleasurable relaxing experience with a traditional sauna atmosphere. Providing even heat and efficient air circulation the Harvia heater has a glass door, allowing the warm glow of the fire to complement the sauna atmosphere. A water bucket and ladle are provided to increase the heat (please read our Sauna Rules page for guidance) we aim to maintain a temperature between 80 & 95 Celsius.
Sauna & Plunge; Cold Water Immersion
Cold water immersion on its own has many benefits but combined with heat it's amplified. We have a purpose made cold water immersion tank which we keep around 10-15 Celsius. Of course being positioned right by the beach you can also take a dip in the Menai Strait if you choose. If you're planning to take a dip in the sea after your sauna then choose your session a couple of hours around high water.
